      This is another album cover designed by Hipgnosis, one of the most famous design companies for album art in the 60’s through the 80’s. I wrote about them when I created the Dark Side of the Moon album, be sure to read about them. T. Rex was a huge success in England and they were one of the only groups that started as a psychedelic band and then transitioned into glam rock. This T. Rex album features a silhouette of Tommy Bolan, the band's leader and singer outlined in gold with bold text at the top of the album. Since this was a glam rock album I appliquéd the album with black glitter fabric and stitched the silhouette in multiple shades of metallic thread. The combination of glitter and metallic thread adds a lot of glam to the look of the finished piece. The logo was created as a patch and collaged onto the album as a final step.
