The Marni x Serax After Midnight Owl Vase from Serax is built from flat, angular planes that meet at sharp edges, forming a face with two large, rounded eyes set above a narrow beak-like point. Designed by Marni for the After Midnight collection, the shape reduces an owl down to a few basic geometric forms rather than a detailed, lifelike rendering. Made from stoneware, the piece stands upright on a narrow base, with the opening set at the top of the head.
