The Lagos frame is built from hundreds of individually cut and hand-placed pieces of white bone and dark chiseled horn — their tones as stark as a lithograph, their contrast as deliberate as a well-considered interior. The pattern is a repeating geometric chevron: white bone segments tapering to points, separated by deeply textured dark horn with a fine linear grain that catches light differently from every angle, the whole composition running continuously around all four sides without a single interruption. It is the kind of craft that originates in the artisan workshops of West Africa and arrives here entirely intact — nothing smoothed over, nothing simplified for production. The Langham Box and the Corinthia play at geometry with resin and veneer; the Lagos does it in natural material cut by hand, piece by piece.
